Our services are provided by highly qualified lawyers with extensive experience in debt recovery. Our hourly rates start from NOK 3,200 + 25% VAT, depending on the complexity of the case. We require an advance payment to secure costs.

Our legal fees are considered losses incurred by you and are therefore recoverable from the debtor.

Why we do not recommend percentage-based fees

Debt collection agencies often offer so-called contingency (success) or percentage-based fees. At first glance, this may seem appealing, as you pay nothing if the claim is unsuccessful.

In practice, such arrangements are rarely in your best interest:

1. If you win, you pay more

A high percentage of the recovered amount can far exceed standard legal fees. For example, recovering NOK 1,000,000 with a 30% success fee would cost you NOK 300,000.

2. Weaker negotiating position

Debt collection agencies are often incentivised to settle quickly rather than maximise recovery, as prolonged cases require more time and resources.

3. Risk of less thorough work

If your case appears less profitable, it may receive fewer resources and less attention, reducing your chances of success.

4. Strict regulation in Norway

With limited exceptions, Norwegian lawyers are not permitted to charge fees directly linked to the outcome of a case.

5. Unpredictable final cost

You cannot know in advance what the total fee will be, and the final amount may be disproportionately high.

In summary:

Percentage-based fees usually mean paying more. Such offers are often a warning sign that it may be better to walk away.
